January 10, 2023: According to the Nepal Department of Tourism’s expedition-permitted data for winter 2023 a total of 15 mountaineers have received climbing permits to scale 5 mountains this winter season.
According to data 15 climbers from different countries have taken permits to climb five mountains this winter. Among them, 2 mountaineers have taken permission to climb Mt. Chukyima(6,258m), 4 mountaineers have taken permission for Ama Dablam(6,814m) three climbers have taken permission to climb Mt Cho Oyu(8,201m), and Two mountaineers have taken permission to climb Mt. Dhaulagiri(8,167m).
Similarly, 4 mountaineers took permission to climb Mt. Manaslu.
By issuing these permits Department of tourism has collected Nrs 655632 from royality.
