April 09, Kathmandu: This year, 505 people have taken permission to climb 18 mountains in Nepal. According to the Department of Tourism, 61 groups have been allowed to climb the mountain so far this year. There are a total of 505 people including 389 men and 116 women in these groups.

This year, most people have taken permission to climb the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. So far, 204 people from 23 groups have been allowed to climb Mt. Everest. There are 158 men and 204 women getting permission to climb Mt. Everest.

According to the department, 39 people have got permission for Amadablam, 26 for Annapurna I, 16 for Baruntse, 21 for Dhaulagiri, 16 for Himlung, 46 for Kanchenjunga, 15 for Makalu, 9 for Manaslu and 28 for Nuptse.

The department has stated that revenue of Rs 297.43 million has been raised so far this year by giving permission for mountaineering.
