July 02: British climber Adriana Brownlee along with her guide Geljie Sherpa scaled Nanga Parbat today morning. She is on a mission to become the youngest climber to summit all 8000-meter peaks. She has completed eight of 14 peaks so far. She started at 21 and Nanga Parbat is her eighth 8,000m peak. Currently, Migma David sherpa is the youngest person to complete 14×8000’er. Both Brownlee and Gelje aim to break the current age record. 29-year-old Geljie Sherpa still needs to Climb Broad Peak and Cho Oyu.

Japanese climber Naoko Watanabe along with a renowned guide Sanu Sherpa climbed Nanga Parbat today at 5:14 am Pakistan time. This is Naoko’s ninth peak above 8,000m. She is also on a mission to climb to summit all 14 peaks above 8,000m. She will now attempt three more peaks in Pakistan– Gasherbrum I, II, and Broad Peak. Sanu Sherpa climbed Nanga Parbat for the third time. After climbing Gasherbrum II he will be the only person ever to complete a double ascent of all 14 peaks

The rest of the team is also attempting a summit while the weather and snow conditions are good.

 Norwegian climber Kristin Harila and Taiwanese Tseng Ko-Erh aka Grace Tseng along with their climbing guides reached the summit yesterday.
