November 04, 2022: Morschel Jean-Marc, 61 a french national has died at Camp III on Mt Amadablam. According to sources, he stayed a night at camp 3 after returning from the summit late in the evening yesterday. He died in Camp 3.
Jean-Marc scaled Ama Dablam along with his guide on Thursday afternoon and returned to Camp III late in the evening.
Rishi Bhandari, Managing Director of the expedition organizer told THT online he was supposed to be evacuated from Camp III on Friday morning Once the Heli Everest chopper landed at Camp III for evacuation, the climber collapsed immediately after he left the tent.
A few weeks ago a sherpa climber also died at Ama Dablam Camp 3.
Yesterday two climbers were evacuated from Ama Dablam Camp 1 a male climber with a broken leg and another female climber who was suffering from acute mountain sickness. They were airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment.
