October 16, Solukhumbu: An Indian national has died in Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Gaonpalika-4 Feruche of Solu Khumbu due to a high altitude problem.
According to Kavit Katwal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Solukhkhumbu, a 19-year-old male MAZIN died on Friday afternoon.
According to him, the man, who did not have a guide or other friends, was staying at the Yak Hotel in Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Gaonpalika 4 Thukla from Thursday.
Lama Kaji Sherpa, chairman of the Khumbu Community Police Service Center, said that the locals took him to the Himalayan Altitude Health Post for treatment after he fell ill on Friday. According to him, the police team has rushed to the spot by helicopter from the Area Police Office, Namche to rescue the body after completing the legal process.
There is a communication problem in the area, which is a two-day walk from Namche, as no mobile network is working.
As the records of the deceased tourist were not even in the entry, there was confusion as to where and from where he entered, police said.
