November 13, Solukhumbu: The number of tourists returning from the Khumbu area has started increasing with the onset of cold weather.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Lukla, the number of tourists returning from Khumbu has increased due to the continuous drop in temperature.
Around 400 tourists have left Khumbu in two days on Friday and Saturday.
Chief Achhami said that they returned from Khumbu on Friday with 12 flights on Friday and 12 on Saturday. He said that when about 200 tourists left in two days, only half of them entered Khumbu.
Although the number of people coming from Kathmandu is low, the number of people returning from Lukla is significant, according to the Civil Aviation Authority Lukla. Tourists are also returning by helicopter.
As most of the people visiting Khumbu this season are Nepalis, most of the people returning to Kathmandu at the airport are Nepali nationals, said Achhami.
