26, September 2022: Avalanche occurred between Camp III and IV in Manaslu around 11.30 am local time. According to sources,12 climbers were injured when an avalanche struck them just below Camp IV of Mt Manaslu. The avalanche struck the route just below Camp IV when they were ferrying logistics to high camps.
According to a recent report from Camp 3 rescue team 1 death has been confirmed and many are injured. Helicopters are stand by at Sama Goan due to bad weather they are trying to fly for emergency evacuation. Currently, the weather is bad. The mountain is wrapped in clouds, complicating rescue efforts and preventing those in Base Camp from seeing what’s going on up the mountain.
According to sources, Sherpa climbers from Seven Summit Treks, Satori Adventure, Imagine Nepal Treks, Elite Expedition, and 8K Expeditions are among others who were injured.
