May 14, 2023: Bartek Ziemski and Oswald Rodrigo Pereira successfully reached the summit of Dhaulagiri today at 7:40 am, relying solely on their own, strength and skill, without the use of supplementary oxygen or Sherpa support. The extraordinary feat was further accentuated by Ziemski’s remarkable ski descent down to Base Camp, while Pereira descended on foot and arrived at Base Camp at 6:30 pm.:

The duo initiated their summit push from Camp 3 precisely at 0:05 am earlier today, embarking on an arduous journey demanding unwavering determination and physical endurance.

This triumph on Dhaulagiri marks the second 8,000-meter peak conquered by Ziemski and Pereira this season. Previously, they achieved an awe-inspiring summit of Annapurna on April 17, once again undertaking the challenge unsupported and astonishingly maintaining an unprecedented pace. Ziemski’s unmatched skiing abilities allowed him to descend entirely on skis during both expeditions.
