July 19: A French mountain guide Benjamin Vedrines climbed Broad peak (8047m) in 7 hours 27 minutes without Oxygen. He then descended by paraglider.

According to sources, Vedrines didnot used supplementary O2 or personal porters. He carried his paraglider and flew down from the summit ridge. So his descent to Base Camp was even faster than the climb.

According to Pakistan Adventure Guides this may be an FKT for Broad Peak.

A few months ago he made the ski mountaineering traverse of the Mont Blanc massif (south-north) in 20 hours together with MathƩo Jacquemoud.

Last year he opened a new route on Chamlang along with Charles Dubouloz.

Polish climber Rafal Fronia has also summited Broad Peak without oxygen. His Final time is yet to come he began yesterday and summited today.

Today Denis Urubko also climbed Broad Peak he reached summit from base camp in less than 15 hours without using Supplement oxygen.
