November 15, 2022: A British climber Andrew James Clayton, 41 died at the high camp of Lobuche peak last week. On November 06 he breathed his last while resting at the Lobuche high camp above 5,000m. He died inside his camp.
THT Online reported The deceased’s body has already been taken to the UK after conducting legal and medical formalities in Kathmandu. Andrew’s death has not been made public by authorities as Elite Expedition, a guiding company run by famed climber Nirmal Purja, refused to divulge details to the authorities concerned.
Andrew James along with his guide and other team members was planning to climb the peak on the morning of 6th November. He was heading towards the summit but due to bad health conditions, he was brought down to high camp. He was ok till 4 pm and then he took a nap and never stood.
Recently a french climber died on Amadablam Camp 3.
