November 18, 2022: The newly constructed Pokhara Regional International Airport in Nepal is preparing for calibration flights next week(November 21 to 28) for the technical testing of the new international airport.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal is doing calibration from Monday for one week (November 21 to 28) which will definitely affect regular flights, say airline companies.

An Aerothai Company aircraft has arrived in Nepal for this purpose, and it will take off and land several times at the airport for mechanical testing. The calibration flight is held to test alignment, lights, and equipment. After that, test flights are carried out once everything is reported to be functional as required.

Officials hope to launch commercial flights from the newly built airport in January 2023.
