October 13, 2022: Two teams are attempting Cho Oyu from Nepal side this season. They are attempting from different routes neither of them has climbed before.
According to sources Pioneer Adventure teams have cleared the route to Camp III, due to bad weather they had to stop and are now continuing toward Camp IV, they are working towards reaching the Summit.Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality is also supporting them by providing 4 climbing Sherpas to help with the route fixing.
Their international have already started their rotation. They reached Camp 1 and now back to base camp. They all are safe.
Similarly another team of Gelje Sherpa which includes,Gelje Sherpa, Adriana Brownlee, Kristin Harila, and photographer Sandro Gromen-Hayes are still waiting at lukla airopt for a good weather to fly to Cho Oyu Base Camp. Their other team members are also joining them.
