December 30, Kathmandu: The influence of the western low-pressure system and the low-pressure area around Bihar of India is still seen in some parts of the country. However, the weather has improved a lot today as compared to Wednesday, according to the Water and Meteorological Department.

It is raining in some places across the country on Thursday with partial to moderate cloud cover and light snowfall in a few places in the high hills and mountains area. According to the department, there will be light to moderate snowfall in some parts of the hilly terrain and light to moderate snowfall in some parts of the high hills and mountains.

Similarly, the Civil Aviation Office of Tribhuvan International Airport has stated that domestic flights are being operated today. As the weather is gradually improving on Thursday, domestic flights from Kathmandu are becoming regular, said the office staff.

On Wednesday, 130 two-way flights from Kathmandu were postponed due to inclement weather. The airlines, which have been operating domestic flights, had scheduled 272 flights for Wednesday. However, due to inclement weather, the airlines had canceled 130 flights till late Wednesday evening.
