May 12, Kathmandu: Climbing guide Dipak Mahat who was suffering from severe high altitude sickness at Everest Camp 2 was evacuated to Kathmandu for treatment on Tuesday morning. He died while undergoing treatment in Kathmandu accoring to sources.
Doctors announced him dead on today morning.According to doctors he suffered excessive bleeding due to high altitude sickness.
He was on a mission to take a replica of the 22nd FIFA World Cup trophy & flags of all the associated nations to the highest points of seven continents.
He already climbed Amadablam, Island Peak, Mera Peak, Lobuche Peak, Chulu East, and Cholatse.
Three climbers including one foreigner already died in everest region this season.
