July 29, Denis Urubko climbed world’s second highest mountain K2 today morning without using supplemental oxygen at 7:30 am Pakistan time. This is his third 8000er in a month.
In 23rd July he climbed Gasherbrum II and on 19th July he climbed Broad peak. Now has 26 summits on 8,000m peaks without supplemental oxygen.
He started summit push yesterday. Denis had some rest at Camp 2.This morning, nobody was above Camp 4 he was alone. Just a week ago more than 140 climbers summited K2.
“I was alone above Camp 4,” Urubko wrote on social media.
Today is also his birthday.
