Everest

German Alpinist David Göttler climbed Mt Everest without using Supplementary oxygen and personal Sherpa Support on Saturday. This Season three climbers scaled mount Everest without using Supplementary oxygen among them two are Nepalese Climbers Mingma Gyalje Sherpa and Nirmal Purja who climbed last week.

Many Climbers already climbed Mt Everest and Some climbers are still attempting Summit.

Sagarmatha Pollution control committee announced on 22nd May that the Khumbu Icefall Route for this spring climbing season will be closed on 29th May 2022 by 11 AM.

Lhotse

Adriana Brownlee from UK climbed Mt Lhotse on Sunday completing her 6th 8000m peak. The 21-year-old British climber aims to become the youngest person to climb 14 peaks above 8000m.

Gelje Sherpa, Dorota Lidia Samocko, and Dawa Nurbu Sherpa also climbed Mt Lhotse yesterday.

Similarly, Indian Woman Baljeet Kaur and her guide Mingma Sherpa also climbed Mt Lhotse yesterday. After climbing Lhotse Baljeet became the first Indian to climb four 8000m peaks in this season. She climbed Mt. Annapurna I (8091m) on 28 April 2022,  Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m) on 12 May 2022, Mt. Everest (8848.86m) on 21 May 2022, Mt. Lhotse (8516m) on 22 May 2022.
