
Due to the Covid-19, foreign tourists will be able to enter Manang after a long time. Even if tourists are allowed to enter, the criteria will have to be met.
Chief District Officer Bishnu Lamichhane informed that Health safety standards have been prepared for entry into Manang. He added that security will be tightened.
“Covid is not completely under control, the infection has been reduced, it has not been completely eradicated, safety measures have to be followed and the tourism business has to be revived,” said Lamichhane. He says that they are trying to keep the tourism business afloat despite the transition
“We will check the safety measures from the Manang entry point, check whether the vaccine against Covid is fully vaccinated, and enter. We will check whether the foreign tourists have booked the hotel or not,” he said.
He said, “The decision has been taken by the meeting of the District Covid-19 Crisis Management Committee and the District Administration Office to prepare for the entry of foreign tourists.
Evidence that the tourist has completed the dose of vaccine against covid, proof of booking at the hotel here, and all tourists on tour should be tested immediately if they notice any symptoms of covid. If the covid test result is positive, you will have to stay in isolation. It will be the responsibility of the concerned agency to comply with the condition of the tourists coming to the district through travel or trekking agency in relation to the covid with the new variant.
If it is found that the health security standards issued by the government are not met, they will not be allowed to enter the district. September to November is the best time for tourists to come.
The Annapurna Conservation Area (ACAP) and the district’s hoteliers and tourism entrepreneurs have started welcoming foreign tourists to the district with the approval of the administration.
