June 26, Kathmandu: The fire that broke out near Bharatpur Airport Tower in Chitwan this morning has been brought under control within 10 minutes.

Narahari Adhikari, information officer at the District Police Office, Chitwan, said that the fire did not cause any damage to the tower.

According to him, the fire broke out near the tower at around 4.45 in the morning. He said that there was no damage to the tower of the airport and the service is operating even if the power lines, internet wires, and telephone wires were damaged.

The fire was brought under control in a short time and further damage was avoided, officials said.
