June 30: A french expedition team including Christophe Ogier, Jerome Sullivan, and Victor Saucede reached the summit of Pumari Chhish East(6850m) for the first time this morning. This first ascent is a remarkable achievement.
According to base camp sources, climbers have already returned from the mountain. The climbers said they had been very lucky with excellent weather conditions.
Since the beginning of this week, the weather improved all over the Karakoram.

Pumari Chhish North, Main (7492m) has only been climbed once, in 1979 by a Japanese Hokkaido Alpine Association team led by Takao Sazaki.
