On May 27, Philipp Brugger, Tomas Franchini, and Lukas Waldner successfully made the first ascent of Shaue Sar in Pakistan.
Philipp Brugger from Austria, Tomas Franchini from Italy, and Lukas Waldner from Austria arrived in Pakistan in Mid-May to attempt the peak. Tomas Franchini wrote on Social Media “From 3 years I’m waiting this moment!”

They ascended via the 2000m North Face of Mountain, the first 1,400m was classic north face climbing after that some steeper pitches to access a ridge and they reached the upper glaciated slopes of Shaue Sar at 6,200m.
They descended via the same route.
The peak, located in the Momhil Valley in Pakistan, was both unnamed and unclimbed until their ascent. They chose the name ‘Shaue’ meaning “horns” in the local language due to the number of ibex they encountered near basecamp.
