November 06, Kathmandu: Three Ukrainian climbers- Viacheslav Polezhaiko, Mykyta Balabanov, and Mykhailo Fomin made the successful ascent of the ANNAPURNA III via Southeast Ridge.
In the last 36 years, there were several attempts to ascent the southeast ridge of the peak but no one was able to climb. The southeast ridge of Annapurna III is considered as challenging part of Alpinism.
In 1981, young British climbers Nick Colton and Tim Leach first attempted to climb the southeast ridge, they climbed about 6,500m of the summit. They could not stand the top of the summit.
In 2010, Brits Nick Bullock, Pete Benson, and Matt Helliker cant ascent due to bad weather conditions.
In 2016, three climbers David Lama, Hansjörg Auer, and Alex Blümel attempted to climb the southeast ridge they also climbed about 1000m. They backed down on the fourth day due to bad weather conditions.
In 2003 Kenton Cool, Ian Parnell, and John Varco made an ascent of Annapurna III via southwest.
