December 06, Kathmandu: From January 1, 2022, foreign tourists visiting Nepal are required to have Covid insurance of 5,000 USD.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has issued a circular requiring foreign tourists visiting Nepal should have insurance of USD 5,000.
According to a circular issued by the department, considering the environment in which variants of Covid 19 are appearing, tourists of all age groups arriving in Nepal Nepal are required Covid insurance worth 5,000 USD.
The insurance policy has to be purchased with a Nepali company.
