April 22, Kathmandu: International airports in Nepal will be open 24 hours a day. It has been decided to operate the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and the Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa 24 hours a day, said Pradip Adhikari, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.
According to him, it has been decided to operate the airports at full capacity as the impact of the Corona epidemic is diminishing and the pressure on national and international air passengers is increasing.
The Gautam Buddha International Airport in Nepal has come into unofficial operation since Thursday.
According to NEA, night flights airport will now operate for 18 hours.Airports that open at 6 a.m. will close at 12 p.m.This is expected to resolve the issue of late night flight cancellations.
