May 10, Kathmandu: Famous climbing guide Kami Rita Sherpa was airlifted by a helicopter to base camp from Camp II of Everest.

Kami Rita Sherpa 52, was suffering from an eye-related problem while he was descending after summiting Mt Everest.

According to Khimlal Gautam, a liaison officer deployed to Everest Base Camp. Kami Rita sherpa was airlifted to Everest base camp from Camp 2 at around 9:20 am Nepal time.

“I faced some eye-related problems. At camp 2, I took medicine. Now, I’m Okay,” Sherpa told.

On May 07 Kami Rita Sherpa reached at a top of Mt Everest for the 26th time. He was leading a rope fixing team under the management of Expedition Operators of Nepal.

Other climbers are ready for a ready push on Everest. 317 climbers are permitted to climb Mt Everest so far.
