In a harrowing incident this morning, a Manang Air chopper met with a tragic accident while attempting to land at Lobuche in the Everest region. The unfortunate crash occurred during a rescue mission for foreign trekkers, leaving the senior captain, PK Sedhain, injured and necessitating his urgent evacuation to HAMS hospital in Kathmandu for treatment.

According to Mukti Pandey, the Director at Manang Air, the ill-fated chopper, bearing the call sign 9N-ANJ, was en route from Lukla to Lobuche when the incident took place. The crash has raised concerns about the safety of air travel in the challenging terrain of the Everest region.
