February 22, Kathmandu: The Nepal Army is going to launch a ‘Clean mountain campaign’ in the upcoming mountaineering season. In the meantime, the army is planning to launch such operations in Mount Everest, Lhotse, Kanchenjunga, and Manaslu.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, a total of 29 troops will be deployed for Mt. Everest and Lhotse, 9 for Kanchenjunga, and 9 for Manaslu.

The Ministry of Tourism has decided to waive the royalty fee for such climbs. Spring is the main season for mountaineering in Nepal. The army is also planning to launch a clean mountain campaign this season.
