Nepal is slowly recovering from COVID 19. Now the lockdown is ended people’s lives are slowly going back to Nepal.
Many Trekking routes are opening from the end of September. Nepal is opened for travelers with some requirements
Now some flights are being operated in Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu Nepal. All the passengers should follow health and quarantine protocols.
Nepal Updated Travel Protocol
Fully vaccinated travelers do not require staying in quarantine and a visa is on arrival. Non-vaccinated travelers require to stay in quarantine and should apply for a visa from Embassy or you can get a visa on arrival if you have a recommendation letter from Travel Agent.

After arriving in Nepal

7 Days Quarantine is mandatory, Fully vaccinated travelers with negative PCR reports doesn’t require to stay at qurantine
At the end of the 7 Day quarantine proof of which should be there in hotel reservations, one can move within Nepal, provided the area is not under lockdown.
According to the Government Decision of Nepal on Nepal COVID Restrictions and Travel Updates on 21 June 2021, All travelers traveling from abroad should follow all the mentioned Health protocols compulsory
- Must present RT PCR or equivalent negative test report within 72 Hours from Swab Collection time to Departure Time of Flight with photo identification and Bar Code
- Must present the printed Barcode obtained by filling International Online Depature Form on COVID 19 Crisis Managment Center Website
- Should have evidence of Hotel Booking for 7 Days of Qurantine in Goverment Listed Qurantine Hotels
Following Travellers with proper evidence can self-quarantine Themselves
- Travellers with Complete COVID 19 Certificate
- Travellers travelling for emergency Purposes like Funerals and mourning who have negative test antigen report and recommndation by concerned local Levels
- sick people ,Senior citizens above 70 years children below 5 years with gurdain disable people with negative test antigen report and recommndation by concerned local Levels
- Government employees,security personnels,diplomats,Staffer in Diplomatic mission in Nepal and their Families volunteers involved in mission of Human Trafficing Victims and Nepalese Stranded Abroad based on their office recommendations
- Airline Crew Members
The government of Nepal ( Council of Ministers ) on 21 June 2021 issued the COVID 19 Crisis Management ordinance-2021 on Nepal COVID Restrictions and Travel Updates
Nepal Quarantine Rules
Nepal Quarantine rules made by the decision of COVID 19 Crisis Management Center is
- Fully vaccinated passengers are not requried to stay at qurantine
- All the passengers should follow all the health protocols issued by Qurantine Hotel.
- Passengers should only book listed Qurantine Hotels.
- Cannot meet the outside people withouth an emergency
- If in case of any symptoms seen one should inform the hotel
