January 22, Kathmandu: There will be partial to moderate cloud cover in most parts of the country till next Monday and light rain and snow will fall in some places. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, the impact of the western low-pressure system that entered from western Nepal on Saturday morning is likely to affect the whole of Nepal from the west on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday respectively.

The effect of the system is to have normal to full cloud cover in the far west, Karnali, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces and partial to normal cloud cover in the rest of the country. The department has issued warnings and advice that light rain is likely in a few places in the far west, Karnali and Lumbini provinces as well as in Gandaki, Bagmati, and one or two places in the province 1.

There is also a possibility of light snowfall in some parts of the country’s high hills and mountains.

As the temperature is still rising across the country, everyone is requested to take necessary precautions and precautions to avoid the cold and its effects.
