The pressure of tourists going to Mustang via Myagdi has increased on Beni-Jomsom road from the past few days. Rishi Baral, head of the Jomsom-based office of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), said that the pressure of domestic tourists has increased and foreign tourists have also started visiting Mustang.

He said that the presence of foreign tourists has also increased in Thorangla, Upper Mustang, and Jomsom areas.

Entrepreneurs hope that the hotel business will return to its old rhythm with increased tourist activity.

Baburam Acharya, district president of the Hotel and Restaurant Entrepreneurs’ Association, said that the people in the business of Myagdi were also relieved after the pressure of tourists to and from Mustang increased.
