December 31, Solukhumbu: The lower areas of the Solukhumbu district have become a major tourist attraction due to the recent snowfall. Due to its proximity to the district headquarters and snowfall, Patale is preferred for sightseeing.
According to locals the number of people coming to play in the snow has skyrocketed in the patale which is about an hour’s drive from the district headquarters Salleri. They said that people from neighboring districts are also coming to play in the snow as there is heavy snow in Patale at an altitude of 2900 meters above sea level.
The locals say that the attraction of tourists has increased as they can play in the snow and have a view of more than a dozen mountain ranges including Mount Everest.
