December 13, Kathmandu: With the aim of promoting Pokhara as a destination in the English New Year, a road festival is to be organized from December 30 to January 01.
The road festival, which has been supporting the tourism promotion and development of Pokhara for more than two decades, is preparing for the 23rd edition of the festival.
Chairman of the Pokhara Tourism Council Gopi Bahadur Bhattarai expressed confidence that the number of domestic tourists visiting Pokhara has been increasing recently and the number of foreign tourists visiting Nepal has also increased after the Road Festival.
According to the organizers, the Pokhara Road Festival will be celebrated with the aim of promoting tourism by disseminating positive information about Pokhara by paying attention to the Covid Health Protocol and displaying various cultural programs and original costumes.
Competitions have been arranged for national and international food performances, doubles competitions, tableau performances, night concerts, boat races, waiter races, tug of war. The festival will be held in a three-kilometer area of ​​Pokhara.
