October 18, 2022: Mingma Wangdi Sherpa dies on Mt Ama Dablam, last night. According to sources, a Sherpa climber died while returning from the summit.
According to Mingma Sherpa chairman of Seven Summit treks, he was a member of the rope-fixing team but did not climb the peak with other team members yesterday. He tried to reach the summit alone while other team members were returning from the summit.
He was an experienced climber.
According to the department of tourism Nepal, 200 climbers from different countries are permitted to climb Amadablam this season.
