March 18, Kathmandu: Spring Climbing season has started. Sherpas have left for the Everest base camp to fix the route for the ascent of Mt Everest and Lhotse.

The route from Base Camp to Camp 2 will be fixed by icefall doctors deployed by the Sagarmatha pollution control committee, and from camp 2 to Everest and Lhotse summit will be fixed by sherpas deployed from the management of the Expedition Operator Association of Nepal (EOA). The teams are planning to fix the rope by 1st week of May on Everest and Lhotse.

The team deployed by the Sagarmatha pollution control committee includes six icefall doctors Ang Sarki Sherpa, Dawa Nuru Sherpa, Pemba Tshering Sherpa, Sonam Tshering Sherpa, Chewang Nuru Sherpa, and Ngima Gyaljen Sherpa, Tshering Tenji Sherpa (Base Camp Manager), and two kitchen staff (Ngawang Thanten Sherpa and Ongdi Gelu Sherpa).

The team deployed under the management of the Expedition Operator Association of Nepal (EOA) includes  Kami Rita Sherpa-Leader, Sona Sherpa- Co-Leader,  Ngima Tashi Sherpa, Tenging Gyaljen Sherpa, Fura Tshering Sherpa, Phurba Chhotar Sherpa, Phurbu Kusang Sherpa, and Lakpa Tenjing Sherpa.

Similarly, The other team of sherpa has also headed towards Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
