April 06, Kathmandu: As the spring climbing season begins Nepal’s Department of Tourism is issuing climbing permits. According to the Department of tourism, 45 groups with 366 climbers have taken permission to scale various mountains till today.

AMA DABLAM

The fixing team had reached up to the summit of Mt Amadablam. The team reached the summit on 02 April 2022. Pemba D Sherpa, Pasang T Sherpa, Mingma Sherpa, and Lhakpa Tamang were in the fixing team. 4 teams with 39 climbers have taken permits to climb Ama Dablam till now.

Kangchung Nup North Face

Japanese Climber Takeshi Tani and Toshiyuki Yamada have reached Kathmandu. They are attempting the first ascent of the North Face of Kangchung Nup. They have already applied for a permit. Kangchung Nup (6,090m),  which is also known as Cholo Peak, Abi, or Kangchung West located in the east of Gokyo Glaciers and lakes in Khumbu.

ANNAPURNA I

According to the Department of tourism 26 climbers from 4 teams are permitted to climb Annapurna I till now. A climber from the UK Adrianna Brownlee is expecting to climb four 8,000m peaks this spring is already in CAMP II.

EVEREST

138 climbers from 16 different groups have taken climbing permits to climb Mt Everest till now.

Some climbers have arrived in Kathmandu, Some are in base camp and some are on the way. Expedition organizing company are setting camps at Base camp of Various mountain.
