November 23, 2022:The bodies of two foreign tourists who died due to adverse weather and high altitude have been taken to Kathmandu from Mustang. Two foreign women died on Friday morning due to high altitude on the Mesokanto La Pass.

According to District Police Office MustangThe bodies of the two foreigners were kept in a helicopter on Saturday afternoon and sent to Kathmandu for post-mortem. Due to adverse weather, high altitude, and extreme cold, two female foreign tourists died on Friday morning at Mesokanto La Pass Fendi in Mustang.

The information officer of District Police Office Mustang, Gopikrishna Subedi, informed that the deceased were 49-year-old Rataya Philaisengsuri and 37-year-old Penny Arnalum, from Thailand.

According to information officer Subedi, two helicopters that came to Mustang from Kathmandu to rescue the body took the body of the foreigner to the teaching hospital in Kathmandu.

The body was picked up from there and brought to Jomsom and sent to Kathmandu.
