November 22, 2022: The 20th Himalayan White-Water Challenge is going to be held in the Trishuli River from November 27. Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) has been organizing this event every year since 2002.
Shiv Adhikari, president of NARA, said that like in previous years, a rafting competition is going to be held in Trishuli this year as well. He said that they are organizing this kind of program with the main objective of promoting adventure water tourism.
Both Nepalese and foreigners will participate in the competition. Rivers like Bhotekoshi, Trishuli, Kaligandaki, Budhigandaki, Karnali, and Marsyangdi are famous for rafting in Nepal.
Fishling area is considered to be the main area for rafting. The competition will start from the same place. According to the organizers, contestants from more than 20 countries will participate in the competition.
Officials said that there will be three main events in the competition, Kayak Down River Race, Kayak Freestyle, and Boater Cross.
