March 31, Mustang: The number of internal and external tourists has increased in the trans-Himalayan tourist district of Mustang as the condition of covid infection is becoming normal. Entrepreneurs have become enthusiastic after about 3,000 tourists started entering Mustang daily by land and air. At the same time, the Mustang’s glow has also returned.
According to Jomsom Airport, there are 15 daily flights to Mustang, which is a center of attraction for domestic and foreign tourists. Similarly, a thick line of vehicles can be seen on the Beni-Jomsom road. According to a tourism entrepreneur, Mustang, which has been deserted due to the risk of Covid-19 infection for the past two years, is now crowded with tourists both by air and land.
According to Tirtha Bahadur Sherchan of Jomsom, the number of domestic and foreign tourists has started increasing due to the onset of suitable weather for the Mustang tours. Similarly, Mustang people from home and abroad have also started returning to the district as the Tiji festival to be held in Lomanthang of Upper Mustang. Hotelier Chepten Gurung of Kagbeni said that the tourism and hotel business of Mustang, which had been deserted for a long time due to a lack of tourists, is now returning to its old rhythm.
