May 31, Kathmandu: The District Police Office, Taplejung has kept the two human skeletons found by the Nepal Army during the Kanchenjunga cleaning Campaign safe in the mortuary of Taplejung District Hospital for identification.

According to Kushram Karki, Information Coordinating Officer and Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Taplejung, the human skeletons have been kept at the hospital morgue for identification. Two unidentified human skeletons were found at different places in the central part of Kanchenjunga base camp and handed over to the District Police Office, Taplejung.

With the objective of protecting biodiversity and the environment, the Nepal Army launched a clean mountain campaign in four mountains including Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, Everest, and Manaslu.15,373 kilograms of garbage with two human skeletons were collected from Mt Kangchenjunga alone.
