October 08, 2022: Two sherpa climbers is missing in Mt Dhalugiri today after an avalanche struck the climbing route. According to sources, today morning an avalanche hit the French Pass area at an altitude of 5300m on Mt Dhaulagiri.

According to sources sherpas were part of the trekking team of Korean clients.

Chairman of the Trekking Agents Association of Nepal Nilhari Bastola said two Sherpa climbers were missing when an avalanche hit the French Pass area at an altitude of 5300m on Mt Dhaulagiri.

Helicopters and ground teams are standing by to conduct a search mission for the missing climbers. Due to bad weather conditions Search and rescue mission couldn’t be completed.
