5 climbers died while climbing Mount Everest this season. Director of Tourism Department Surya Prasad Upadhya informed that 3 foreigners and 2 Nepali people lost their lives while climbing Mount Everest this season.

According to the department, 800 climbers climb Mount Everest every year, and 6 climbers die during the climb. Tukti Sherpa, a mountaineer of Mt. Everest, said Mt Everest today that symptoms such as dizziness, headache, and vomiting appear during the ascent, and many climbers die due to severe dehydration.

He said that even if the blood pressure is low or high during the climb, can cause the death of climbers. Since the year 2010 i.e. in the last 12 years, 7,954 people have climbed above the base camp of Mount Everest among them 72 climbers have died.

According to the Everest icefall doctors “the people who make the way first before climbing” Many climbers also die due to avalanches.


The death of the climber is also due to bad condition of fixed ropes during the climb. Some climbers also dies after running out of oxygen in the middle of the way.

Da Jangbu Sherpa, a climber who has climbed Mt. Everest 7 times, said that many people lost their lives during the climb due to poor management.
