December 03, Solukhumbu: An American citizen of Nepali origin who was visiting the Khumbu area has died.
According to District Police Office Solu Khumbu, the 61-year-old Bindeshwar Kakshepati died on Thursday.
According to police, he died at the Trekker Hotel in Phakding, Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Gaonpalika-3 on Thursday.
He had fainted while sitting on a heater inside the hotel in cold weather. According to Kavit Katawal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Solukhumbu, he died on the spot.
The body of the deceased has been airlifted to Kathmandu for postmortem.
The cause of death will be revealed only after the post-mortem report is received, police said
