June 11, Kathmandu: Tourist arrivals have increased in Langtang National Park.

According to the statistics, 15,000 tourists have entered the park in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year. Among them, 13,120 are Nepalese, 2,388 are foreigners and 193 are from SAARC countries.

Due to the global spread of coronavirus (Covid-19), the number of tourists decreased in the last two years. Chief Conservation Officer of the park, Pramod Bhattarai, said that the number of Nepali and foreign tourists visiting the tourist areas has been increasing recently.

Among the tourists who come here, Nepalese spend more than foreigners.

Tourists from Israel, France, Canada, Japan, Italy, the USA, Thailand, the UK, Korea, Russia, Spain, Uruguay, Singapore, and other countries come to the park.

After coming to the park area, one can see a dozen mountain ranges including Langtang, various ponds including Gosai Kunda, the historical place Rasuwagadhi, the world’s rare red panda, and snow leopard, and other animals.
