October 23, 2022: 15 days long 310 km ‘Solukhumbu Trail’ has started. 39 foreigners and 4 Nepalese runners are participating in the trail which started from Solududhakunda Municipality 8 Dhap of Solukhumbu.
Led by the Olympic champion Da Chiri Sherpa, the trail starts from the Pike-Dudhkund-Namche-Everest base camp and ends at Phaplu.
Organized by The Small World (TSW) and organized with the support of the Da Chiri Sherpa Foundation and Nepal Mountaineering association, the inauguration of the ‘Solukhumbu Trail’ was done.
Da Chiri, the leader of the trial, said that it will help to show the possibility of sports tourism. According to the organizers, international-level races have been organized in Nepal with the increase in tourism activities in Nepal after the corona epidemic.
