September 09, 2022: The highest number of climbers have taken permit to climb Manaslu (8,163 meters), the eighth highest mountain in the world and the seventh highest in Nepal. According to Nepal’s Department of Tourism 337 climbers from different teams are permitted to climb Mt Manaslu this season so far.
Many climbers have already arrived at Kathmandu and some had already flown to Samagaon (the last village before the hike to Base Camp)
Base camp at 5,600m is already ready for climbers and route fixing team has also started fixing routes.
Autumn is considered to be the best season for climbing Manaslu, so it is preferred by most climbers.
According to Nepal’s Department of tourism 5 climbers are permitted to climb Mt Dhaulagiri, 7 climbers are permitted to climb Mt Himlung Himal, 4 climbers are permitted to climb Mt Kumbhakarna, 5 climbers are permitted to climb Mt Nuptse, 5 climbers are permitted to climb Mt Everest, 1 climber is permitted to climb Mt Saribung.
