October 21, 2023: A remarkable feat took place on October 20 as French International Mountain Guide Matheo Baptiste Jacquemoud set a blazing speed record by scaling Mt. Ama Dablam in under 7 hours. This awe-inspiring achievement has left the mountaineering community in awe.

According to Subash Shrestha, a representative, Matheo Baptiste Jacquemoud embarked on his ambitious climb from the base camp. Remarkably, he reached the summit of the 6,812-meter peak at 9:59 a.m., completing the ascent in a staggering 6 hours, 23 minutes, and 24 seconds.

Shrestha highlighted the historic nature of this accomplishment, asserting that it’s the fastest base camp-to-base camp ascent on Mt. Ama Dablam to date. The tracking data unequivocally confirms the swiftness of this achievement.
