July 26: Canadian climber Richard Cartier was missing on world’s second-highest peak K2 another Australian mountaineer Matthew Eakin was also missing on K2.
According to base camp sources, the remains of Canadian climber Richard Cartier and Australian mountaineer Matthew Eakin were found below Camp I of K2 today.
Body of Richard was Spotted at Japanese Camp 1.
The body of Matt from Australia was found in Advanced Base Camp. “The bodies of the climbers are intact and frozen”, sources added.
Richard and Matt were from same expedition organizing company. They both were experienced climber.
