Stefi Troguet has returned to Skardu.
She wrote on social media “We did the 60km from K2 B.Camp to Hushe (via Gondogoro Pass) in 2 days & we’re back to Skardu. I decided not to climb Broad Peak this time. The weather window who was coming was very close to my K2 summit. It was an unclear window & my body was not ready yet to face the expected 30/40km winds with no O² without a proper rest after K2. To climb Broad Peak you have to be at 100%. It’s one of these mountains that we use to underestimate, and this year it has taken many lives . After climbing K2, I didn’t have time to be at 100% .It was not clear that another weather window will come, and the team decided to leave Base Camp. So did I.”
K2
