May 09, Kathmandu: Nepalese guide Khudam Bir Tamang is missing below camp I on Sunday Evening.
He was Swept by an avalanche near Camp I while he was returning to base camp Source said.
According to other climbers, he was swept by an avalanche at around 6,000m while he and his fellow Sherpa Climbers were returning from high camp to Base camp.
According to sources search mission for him is already conducted.
He was a member of an expedition led by Renowned South Korean climber Sung Tek Hong. He is making his seventh attempt to climb Lhotse from the south face side.
This is one of the toughest climbs of this season.
