January 04, Kathmandu: A new weather system will enter Nepal again from Tuesday night and its effect will be from tomorrow to Saturday, according to the Weather Forecast Division.

The department has issued a special bulletin today urging people to be cautious as the western low-pressure system could cause cold snap and affect daily life including airspace, mountaineering, agriculture, and transportation.

The effect of this system is likely to be more in the far west and less in provinces 1 and 2. The general impact will be felt across the country. Especially in the far west, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki states will have more impact. There is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in many parts of the high hills and mountains of these states.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, the Kathmandu Valley is likely to be less affected today and tomorrow and more affected on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
