December 05, Kathmandu: According to locals, snow has been falling in Upper Manang and Narpabhumi settlements since Thursday. Snow has fallen in Thoranglaphedi, Yakkharka, Base Camp, and Tilicho areas of Upper Manang.

Chief District Officer of Manang, Rabindra Acharya, said that snow had fallen in the settlements of Manang Ngisyang and Narpabhumi.

The District Administration Office, Manang, has urged the people to be cautious as the temperature may drop due to snowfall in the high hills and mountains.

The cold has also increased in the lower region after the snowfall. According to Acharya, snow is falling in the upper region from Dhikurpokhari (3,240 m) in Manang.

Lekhnath Gautam, head of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) Manang, said that tourists should not go to the destination due to snowfall in the upper region. He said that ACAP Manang has requested the tourists to go to the destination only after the weather improves.
